Whiplash Associated Disorders

The treatment of Whiplash Associated Disorders (WAD) is often clouded in

controversy and confusion due to a variety of reasons including previous

experiences as well level and area of training. 

Many treatment strategies have been based on convention,

rather than what the evidence best supports. Oftentimes active treatment

strategies and a thorough functional, dynamic examination can reduce the need

for expensive tests and endless passive treatment. This class is designed

to provide the practitioner with the examination and treatment tools to

not only present a clearer clinical picture, but also a comprehensive treatment plan.

Palpation and conventional orthopedic tests are needed, but it is also important

to assess the functional deficits a patient may encounter that will limit daily activities.
